Part of the proceeds from the sale of Lone Star Poetry will support Feeding Texas, the largest hunger-relief organization in Texas. It works collaboratively with a network of 21 food banks to increase food security, improve health and financial stability, and advocate for hunger solutions.
Feeding Texas helps Texans experiencing food insecurity access food for today, secure benefits for food for tomorrow, and help change systems to ensure food for a lifetime. The organization has strong, formal ties to the state agencies that administer SNAP, Medicaid, Child Nutrition, and federal commodities programs.
