Saguaro Poetry Prize
Opens September 15th and closes at midnight CDT on December 31st annually

Entry fee is $25.00. All who enter will receive a copy of the winning chapbook.
Please submit 28 to 48 pages of contemporary poetry, not including title page and Table of Contents. Winner will receive $1200, publication by Kallisto Gaia Press, 20 copies of the chapbook, and up to 20 ARCs to be sent to reviewers and award sponsors chosen by the winner. Submission window opens on September 15, annually and closes at midnight CST on December 31st annually. Simultaneous submissions are allowed. Please withdraw your submission immediately if it is accepted elsewhere. Entry fees will not be refunded but you will receive a copy of the winning chapbook. Multiple submissions are allowed if the entry fee is paid for each entry.
Each entry is read identity concealed by at least three associate editors who are published or hold an MFA with a literary focus. The top scoring 25 entries will be forwarded to the final judge by March 1, 2022. We expect to announce a winner by May 1, 2022. Prize money will be awarded upon the announcement of the winner. Do not put your name or any identifying markings, including an acknowledgements page, in the body or title of the submission. Failure to follow guidelines may result in the disqualification of the entry. Entry fees are not refundable.
All submissions received through Submittable. Please submit in your preferred format and font. We are open to your conceptual ideas regarding layout where print restrictions allow. No hate speech or pornography will be considered. We reserve the right to define those terms. We adhere to the ethical standards suggested by the Community of Literary Magazines and Publishers (CLMP) of which we are a proud member.
